Sourdough’s been in hibernation since the last post.  Time to give it a quick snack.  And with it, a new jar – a pickle jar.  Now, in my immediate haste to find a jar large enough to house a larger volume of starter, I grabbed a newly washed pickle jar.  This lead to the starter picking up a pickle smell.  I’m sure that it’ll slowly go away over time… but this should make the sourdough more interesting.

I’ve left it out overnight with a 1:1 ratio of new unbromated and unbleached flour.  It’s now nice and bubbly!
